I've been looking for an alternative to the 600+ dollars current proposals for multicolored 3D printing and came across this product, 3D Chameleon.
I would like to know if there's anyone who has tested compatibility with the Ankermake M5 or M5C and their results.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Also interested in knowing the steps to make this work for the M5. I am willing to buy this unit but not until I see it installed and working on the M5/M5c. Anyone ready to share? Great leader of the product? just wondering.
Has anyone been able to make this work for the M5 specifically? I just came across this and really interested in the product/idea. But figured I'd see if anyone has before I buy it.
Just a quick question, is it ok to shorten the PTFE pipes between the the Chameleon and the Y adapter? Is there anything i need to look out for like shortening them all by exactly the same amount etc? I have loads of extra and I would like it to look as neat as poss- thanks in advance....
I’m not sure if any of you have gotten this working yet. I’m still working on perfecting my mount for the M5C. I’m not ready to share the STL’s yet since I still has more slop than I want and haven’t gotten far enough with that mount to start working out details regarding g-code or mount locations etc.
Has anyone made more progress on this than me?
Just received mine today. Planning on hooking it up to a M5 or M5C. Count me as "extremely interested" in the idea of a good video on this. That said I did see the post above about how he had already done it so I'll wager I can figure it out....
Actually, I did it personally on both units. For their machine, it's literally just a stock installation. I used 3M VHB tape to affix the switch (on a mount) under the front of the printer and the spool holder is where I mounted the 3DChameleon. It works just like any normal I3 style printer.
