Hi, has anyone installed the 3D Chameleon on a delta printer? Where can the switch be attached? The reference switches are already at the upper end of the axes.
Gerd, what software and control board is used in the delta? I am not familial with any. I am looking at eliminating the switch by replacing it with a switch from the board or my raspberry Pi. I just need the time to figure out what to use and how to program.
It should be possible to control the 3D Chameleon from the board, I don't know how, but the switch could be substituted by a signal from the board. There have been posts in the forum to that effect. Its the specifics that need to be figured out.
Yes, you can either use a switch somewhere lower on one of the posts, or you can use a direct pin from the control board. M42 allows you to toggle the pin and you'd simply replace the "G1" the touches the button with the M42 S0 or S1 command that triggers it. Connect our switches green wire to the I/O and the black to a common (ground) pin... and that'd be all you need.
@Bill Many thanks for informations. I'll give the "pin version" a try.
Gerd
