I'm having a hard time figuring out where to mount the trigger switch on my highly customized Ender 3. I've figured out how to control it with an I/O line on control board, but if like to also have the option of the mechanical switch got manually controlling it. If it feasible to connect the switch on parallel with the GPIO control?

The issue is that normally a GPIO pin would be pulled to ground, whereas our switch is pulled high. So, without including an inverter in the mix, you really can't because the signals are opposite of each other.
A normal switch mount on an Ender 3 is on the front of the Y axis like we do in the installation video. There are mounts on Printables for it.
