Anyone with experience and working configuration on the Ender 3 S1? Trying to get the unload settings configured and the loading to avoid a giant blob of filament at the switch position.
I've already done a bit of tweaking and ended up with this
; cool (and size) in 1.8mm tube
G0 E-36 F4000 ; quickly retract the filament to shape it
G0 E-10 F600; slowly allow it to cool
G0 E1 F2000 ; blob elimination
; back to tip size
G0 E-36 F4000 ; quickly retract the filament to shape it
G0 E-10 F600; slowly allow it to cool
G0 E1 F4000 ; blob elimination
G0 E-10 F4000 ; quickly retract the filament to shape it
G0 E1 F4000 ; quickly ram the filament to shape it
G0 E-10 F4000 ; quickly retract the filament to shape it
G0 E1 F4000 ; quickly ram the filament to shape it
; back to 1.8 constriction
G0 E-36 F4000 ; quickly retract the filament to shape it
G0 E-10 F100; slowly allow it to cool
; turn the fan off
M107 ; this printer has the fan in the way, so turn it off
; retract it back out of the extruder
And then a load distance of 40mm (tuned down from the 53 I started with), but going to try turning this down even more to see if it helps with the big blob.
Say Jonathan, I'm struggling with the 3DC on my sprite (clogs and all sorts or withdraw issues) and saw your comments - could i ask for a copy of your Gcodes that you use in prusa please ? - many thanks.
I continue to have consistency issues, filament gets stuck and fails to push all the way into the extruder, starts to grind away the filament and then will even fail to pull it back out at some point. Is there anyway to improve grip, dual gears, or anything that could be done?
One thought... If this is a direct drive, a lot of the time you don't need to tip shaping at all... Just back it out all the way to start off with.
