I might add, when it probes, the default button location is actually outside the normal printable space of the printer (it's in the back row where the nozzle is cleaning) so it shouldn't be going back that far.

Did something else change the printable area on the printer?

Since it is Klipper based, however, you can always just change the probing area to exclude that rear few mm. To do that, follow this guide:
